Evaluation - Question 5: How did you attract/address your audience?

My magazine is very different to most music magazines that are around; the only other music magazines that have some similarities are Kerrang! and Rock Sound. I think that my magazine is different to Kerrang! and Rock Sound because it has a wider market, and it's aimed at both boys and girls.
Noise Pollution offers readers the chance to read the latest news about their favourite bands, plan which gigs to go to, read album and gig reviews, and win really cool stuff! This is exactly what my target market wants to read about, so this is why they'd want to buy it!

If you have a look at my reader profile you can see that:
  • My ideal reader loves going to gigs - this is why the gig guide would appeal to them. It tells them all of the gigs that are going on in the next few months so they can plan which ones they're going to. This is also why the gig reviews will appeal to them; they can read about their favourite band's live performances, or even read about gigs they've been to!
  •  My ideal reader loves attending festivals - this is why the competition section would appeal to them; they get the chance to go to their favourite festival with a VIP ticket for free! This would be useful to them because the price of festival tickets is very expencive (around £180/£190 for a weekend ticket!), and my ideal reader doesn't earn an awful lot of money, so for them to get the chance to go for free would be great!
  • Music has a huge part in my ideal reader's life, they play instruments, they go to gigs and festivals, and they download and listen to music on a regular basis. As music is such a big part of my ideal reader's life, they would obviously want to access a magazine about it easily, and for quite an affordable price.
  • My ideal reader doesn't earn a lot of money and a lot of them don't have full time jobs, so Noise Pollution is perfect for them as it is at a reasonable price.
